A certified nursing assistant (CNA) is a health care professional who provides basic patient care, such as bathing and dressing, to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care facilities. CNAs also take patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, and report any changes to the patients' nurses.
